** PREMIERE ** Mint - Superglue

Words: Linn Branson

Mint, the swaggering Grimsby band - and Little Indie One To Watch 2018 - known for their catchy hooks, attitude-drenched lyrics and explosive live shows, ended 2017 with the rousing 'St Oxford' - and on the lips of many tastemakers.

Having spent the past months tuning their songcraft to a slightly darker level, the four-piece now get stuck into things with new single 'Superglue', set to drop on March 25, and which Little Indie brings you the debut play of right here.

Recorded by the Sugar House production team in St Helens, while at just a smidgen over two minutes, what 'Superglue' may lack in length, it more than makes up for in its fierce, fast-paced infectious energy, fuzz, and biting vigour. With verses that are almost chanted and a chorus that you just can't shake, 'Superglue' is one that will remain firmly stuck in your head.

"We thought it'd be nice to have our happy go lucky sound dye its hair black and try something with teeth," says Mint frontman Zak Rashid about the song. "So it's still Mint, just with pubes."
