You may have noticed an absence of material on our site in the last 24 hours and a period of darkness. For this we apologise.
The reason we have had to take these measures is due to a Nigerian scammer Loud Naija who goes under the aliases of:
Lee John Jackson, Peter Ossai, Jae Slight, PeterNet Inc, Loud Naija Blog, Hacker News UK, Lyrics Mill, Jennifer Peter Blog, Book Manne, My School Update, Susan Okoro’s Blog, DP Studio.
This is the one behind all these sites:
He seems to think he can just scrape the Web and purloin anyone's copyrighted material and parade it on his own very cheap and amateur sites as original material and with no credit to the original source.
Since July 20 2017 every single one of our posts - that is quite a few dozen, well over 50! - has been stolen by this character and put on this Loud Naija and Lyrics Mill sites, and linked to on Twitter and Facebook
It is not just our copyright infringed either. On this Naija site there is also to be found similar infringed material from other sources.
We have had to issue DMCA notices to protect our work.
Those who know our work will recognise our style and writers. We ask that if you see our work used on any of the above named sites that you report it to us, and to the host site, and do not share or like this illegally used material on any site that does not have a direct link to our own Little Indie source here.
UPDATE AUGUST 7
Despite assurances all these posts used illegally on this Loud Naija site and Lyrics Mill site would be removed - see Comments - they have of course not been.
In fact, we find that not only have they used each post of ours once on this site, they have repeated as well in another section on the same site!
Every single thing on Loud Naija site is infringing the copyright of another site. Each post they are stealing to use is posted giving the 'author' as this Lee John Jackson.
Take a look around their site and if you see work there that is yours, fill out this DMCA notice to WordPress - who host the Loud Naija site - to have taken down. Really WordPress need to take down the whole site as they are repeat infringers.
UPDATE AUGUST 8
For those enjoying this saga - yes, unbelievably it still rumbles on nearly a week later - this is the latest from our Nigerian friend of many aliases and poor English:
Cahaya Kuwat Peter (PeterNet)
Stop doing this ain't you tired since you are reporting the site is still on, your report and posting me on your site as giving me fame I now have massive hit every just tell me and I will find your on my site and remove it.
Friend, had you simply not copied all our work in the first place this would never have arisen. We would still have been amenable had you immediately upon notification removed our 50 odd posts you reproduced THREE TIMES. But no, you make excuses daily that you are sorry and will remove everything - yet you do nothing.
The hits you are getting are from those shocked at your appalling and disgraceful behaviour, people checking to see you have not stolen any of THEIR work either, and WordPress and Blogger checking your content in order to remove it, ie:
We will not relent in our pursuit of you as long as you continue to display our works without permission and use the work of similar online sites without authorisation. We also still await payment of £4000 from you being our reproduction rights fees for the three times use of 50 features. When will you be settling that?
UPDATE AUGUST 13
Our Loud Naija infringing site have now moved from WordPress - ho ho, I wonder why...! - to here. Still with a lot of content on it that is lifted from other people's sites, ie this whole section from here - so worth keeping an eye on our friend still!
