** PREMIERE ** The Cosmics - Waste Of Time

The weekend truly starts here for Birmingham's garage punk-rock trio The Cosmics. Over the next two days not only are they today (February 17) releasing their second single, ‘Waste Of Time’, but there are two live shows lined up - plus a brand new music video also out today which Little Indie is pleased to bring to you first.

After last year's scuzzy punk debut single 'Johnny' saw the three - Erin Curran (vocals, bass) and her identical twin brother cousins Conor (guitar) and Danny (drums) Boyle - compared to the likes of Britpop legends Elastica as well as The Undertones and Blondie, The Cosmics are firmly carving out their own 21st century niche with ‘Waste Of  Time’: a feisty, raw, and undoubtedly catchy, break-up song, produced and mixed by Isaac Cartwright.

The video - directed and filmed by The Cosmics themselves - focusses on Curran skipping down a country road in leopard print coat as she trills along to the track, intercut with a strobe effected live band performance.

The Cosmics play a single launch show tonight (February 17) at The Sunflower Lounge, Birmingham for This Feeling with The Blinders, followed by Night & Day Cafè, Manchester (with No Hot Ashes) tomorrow (now sold out).
