There is something about Copenhagen-based newcomers Luster that always makes us grin. Whether it's the frontman's hair - and passing resemblance to Sundara Karma's Oscar Lulu, or the fact that they they keep trying to tell us this Dane is called Jason Prince Jr. These artists will do anything to get round the Little Indie 'mystery band exclusion zone' it seems!
As we said when we heard the quartet's debut track 'Good Dreamer' earlier this summer, vocalist 'Prince' looks and sounds remarkably like one Jacob Haubjerg of the band Masasolo (and who we believe has also played with Palace Winter). And we're sticking with that.
But either way, Luster's live rendition in the video below of 'Sexbeat', is an hypnotic mix of Cold Pumas drum drones, TOY psych guitar riffs and a lot of "Sexbeat, sexbeat / beat ...beat ...beat ... beat / Sexbeat."
It's a grower, I tell ya.
