Kaldera, the indie rock Reading-based quartet, only played their debut gig barely two months ago, but if you think you may have seen them somewhere else - you may well indeed have.

After a name change (from Captain and the Gypsy Kid) and "a complete re-brand" late last year, the newly monikered Kaldera are back sounding freshly focused and freshly squeezed to bring out all their good bits.

Little Indie presents the first hearing of 'Take It Easy', the official debut single which is released this week.

"The track is about generally not worrying too much," guitarist Henry Belcher tells us. "If you give something your best shot, not to be too hard on yourself. Just sit back and take it easy."

The three-minute-plus ‘Take It Easy’ turns things right around from Kaldera's old focus, highlighting Tom Waddington's quite distinctive, soul-vibed vocals that lend a touch of Britpop style swagger, the guitar interplay and layering, and the rousing beats that build up to the catchy, big chorus.

Kaldera play The Oakford Social Club, Reading this Thursday (April 14), then support Man Made at Purple Turtle, Reading on May 18.

Kaldera are: Tom Waddington - vocals/rhythm guitar, Henry Belcher - lead guitar, Alisdair Jenkins - bass, Oscar Robinson - drums.
