January 9 2015 - Hot Top Ten

LA BÊTE BLOOMS - STAY AWAY
Third single from the Hull-based five-piece's debut self-titled EP, filled with guitar feedback, distorted bass and snarling vocals, produced by Matt Peel (Eagulls, Pulled Apart By Horses).  Available as a free download from January 26 via The Adult Teeth Recording Company.

ALTAR FLOWERS - BASTARD SONG
Following their 'R.I.P Joey Fritz' EP of last year, the Manchester goth-pop four-piece (formerly known as LVLS) are back with this newly crafted track. Catch them live at Kraak, Manchester on February 7.

HOOTON TENNIS CLUB - JASPER
Liverpool/Chester foursome with their psych pop debut single for Heavenly Recordings, out February 23. They play the Heavenly Weekend on January 25 at Hebden Bridge Trades Club.

PYX - LAVA FIELDS
Interestingly experimental debut single released January 1 via Bandcamp from Manchester-based electronic / synthpop one-man DIY project.

HEDGEHOG - DEAR BOY I WANNA BE YOUR GIRLFRIEND
Out February 9 via Disorder Recordings, the new single from the crazy Beijing trio of Zo, Fun and Atom, who we introduced here back in September with their double A-side debut single 'DDDreaMMM' / 'Heart On Fire'.

THE LITTLE SECRETS - ALL I NEED
Shimmery 60s style pop, the debut single from Liverpool duo Kevin Dixon and Stacy Jo, out on January 26 thru The Label Recordings.

MWANSA - HEAVY FEELS
Latest track from the Perth, Australia-based artist that we featured several times last year. Rhodes piano and his distinctively rich vocal make this third release a triple whammy joy.

FORCED RANDOM - UNDER/ASLEEP
From London-based lo-fi indie Oliver Girdler's 'I'm Still Here If You Want Me' EP released on January 12. Minimalist ambience with an evocative edge.

POP ETC - RUNNING IN CIRCLES
The formerly-known-as Morning Benders outfit now reborn with a new track (said to be from an album to be released later this year) that drives home 80s pop sensibilities.

AFFAIRS - BLOOD SCIENCE
Already featured here, this is a real grower of a single, out next month, by the Manchester five-piece that looks like could be the breaker for them.
