January 2 2015 - Hot 15 To Kick Off '15

LOVE BUZZARD - BEAMS
Sub two-minute blast from the debut EP released last month on Fluffer Records by noisy garage punk duo, Kevin Lennon Al Brown, throwing in big bluesy riffs and a touch of fierce rock 'n' roll on the side. No chance of getting bored here. Catch them at the Shacklewell Arms, London on January 31.

TEAR TALK - REALISE
Featured here before Christmas, Merseyside five-piece are certainly tearing up the talk with this latest track release from EP 'Ruins', which came out in December. Find out why when they headline Liverpool's Scandinavian Church on January 31.

SWALLOWS FLY LOW - INCOMPLETION (FT. M.O.T.O)
Latest uploaded track of minimalist electronic ambience from Mikolaj Szatko, Polish-born, Edinburgh-based for a few years, now in Chicago. A one man project, following on from his 'Only Now' EP of 2013.

SAM SEG - SOLDIER
Swedish 20-year-old from Stockholm currently Boston-based (before returning this month to Europe to work on an EP) with debut soulful, yet beaty, single.

LUNA KINGS - RUN FOR COVER
Infectiously melodic guitar indie rock from Leeds-based four-piece with first single from their EP out this month. Catch them at 360 Club at The Library in Leeds on January 16.

FLOWER DRUMS - DON'T WAIT (ft. ST. SOUTH)
The Perth synthpop foursome team up with Fremantle singer Olivia Gavranich on this smooth and woozy Drake cover from their EP '28 Mansions' out shortly.

SAN FERMIN - PARASITES
December release from the eight member strong Brooklyn outfit, taken from their second album 'Jackrabbit', out April 27 on Downtown Records / Sony RED.

LIGHT PRESSURE - SILVERLAND
Latest single from Dave Rennick's new project (formerly called And.) A slow jam track, the vocals and production come together beautifully. Written and produced by Rennick and Dappled Cities bandmate Ned Cooke.

AUTOMATIC COLORS - VALKYRIE
Lending a Balkans-esque feel with mandolin (along with acoustic guitar, synthesizers, electronic and real drums, and samples) is less cut ftpm last year's debut album 'Carcajou' by the Philadelphia-based project of Justin Walcroft.

BARON & BYRNE - THE DISTANCE
Almost six minutes in length, this is the lead track from the self-titled debut - out on January 5 via Bandcamp - from what sounds by name to be a duo, but in practice is the solo project of Derby-based artist Joe Doris: "Guitars, keys, harmonies, I do it all."

FIGHTING CARAVANS - BOOTMAKERS TO THE KING
Released just before Christmas, the debut from the new Leeds five-piece alt rock outfit who formed early last year. They play Verve, Leeds on January 30 2015.

CARMELLA - HOME
New track out this week from the LA-based duo, Tracy Lorin and RickEy Lumpkin II, with what they term "electro-luxe cemetery pop": cinematic arrangements mixed with an eerie wash of electronica over a foundation of rhythmic songwriting.

TITANICS - STEPPING OUT
New York duo Mark Lombardo and Derek Rogers follow 2013's debut album 'Soft Treasure' and recent EP 'Deeper' with another slice of ambient rockwave
